DAPA Race Report - TMCCC, October 29, 2006,
Texas Raceway, Kennedale, Texas
DAPA racers were out in full force for the
TMCCC race at Kennedale. Racers Marty Parker, Floyd Hand, David Dudley,
George Reaves, Jessica Dudley, Ed Cumming, Lee Green, Jennifer Green, Bob
Cook, Scott Nichols, Mike Miner, and Harold Baker were eager to rip through
gears and melt tires. Cheering us on were H.R. Dudley, Sharon Cumming,
Margie Hand, Tom Reaves, Paul Parker, and Wesley Johnson.
Jennifer Green won her first round with a dead-on-dial and went on the take
home the second place trophy in Stock muscle. Jessica Dudley won her first
two rounds in Factory Muscle and took home a semi-final trophy. Ed Cumming
piloted Scott Nichols' classic GTO to the semi-finals and took home a
semi-final trophy in King Muscle. Bob Cook put down several opponents in
Super Muscle with his new GTO until he lost in the 4th round. David Dudley
and Lee Green ran in the Race of Champions. David won in rounds 1 and 2,
before being beaten in the 3rd round. Sharon Cumming, Lee Green, Harold
Baker, Scott Nichols, Marty Parker, Floyd Hand, and David Dudley were
unfortunately eliminated in the first round of their respective
classes.
This was the most DAPA racers in the TMCCC series for the 2006 season and we
took home three trophies. It was really great to see a lot of Pontiac
performance machines beating the competition.
